Present your essay to the Auckland Medical History Society
Enjoy the honour of presenting your essay to the Society as part of our speaker programme.
As part of the University of Auckland Medical Humanities Programme, the two top essays may be presented to the AMHS.
Year 3 medical students can undertake a Medical Humanities option, part of which is a competitive entry, which provides medical students with the opportunity to study medical issues from the point of view of a humanities discipline. Students are required to prepare essays on a range of topics to present to their Programme Coordinator and their class as part of their assessment.
Authors of the top two essays are offered an opportunity to present their work at a meeting of the Auckland Medical History Society later in the year. This experience has proved popular with students whose excellent presentations have been very well received. AMHS welcomes the opportunity to introduce students to the Society and to be able to show case their interesting projects.
